Ted Talk: How to Live to be 100

In the Ted Talk "How to Live to be 100", Dan Buettner talks about the different myths that are involved regarding how to live a long healthy life. He speaks on a couple of different myths that we have all heard of before and then goes on to prove to us why those myths are wrong. For example, he says that one common myth is that if you try really hard, you can live to be 100. You can try all you want, but in the end you can't decide when you live or die is the gist of what he had to say about that myth. He also went on to point out the different areas in the world where people tend to live longer and what they do in their culture to do so.
This Ted Talk was a good thing for me to watch because it not only gave me his opinions about this certain subject but he backed up his reasoning with facts. For example, he stated that a person who is 65 ages 125 times faster than a person who is 12. I also found the information he gave on the different areas in the world being able to have humans live longer be very interesting. It was a combination between what people in China ate and how they lived their life from childhood to adulthood versus how people in America lived. Overall, the Ted Talk basically told me that if I want to live to be 100 I have to live my life very carefully and perfectly, which is hard to do considering how many mistakes we make as humans.
